Career News

On Friday, 7 June, the Year 12 Study Block became a mini tertiary expo with representatives from RMIT, ACU, VU, Torrens University, Defence Force and Latittude GAP year programs visiting Siena College.  Presentations included Nursing, Health Sciences, Engineering,  Design, Media, Law, Business and of course the myriad of different roles offered by the Defence Force.  There is more to come in the next Year 12 Study Block on 21 June when Monash, Deakin, Swinburne and Latrobe universities will present on courses such as Arts, Science, Allied Health, Business, Architecture, Exercise Science and Education.  The aim of the sessions is not to replace attending an Open Day, but to help students be more informed about particular courses.

In this week's Siena Career News you can find information on many school holiday activities organised by the universities - all designed to give secondary students a taste of what going to university is like and give them a feel for a particular campus.  Students can pair up with a friend and make it a social occasion!

In addition to this there is a comparison of Psychology degrees, a very popular course with our students, information on the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Tasmania and some recommended pathway courses into this highly competitive course.

As always, students and parents are most welcome to make an appointment to discuss subject selection, tertiary courses and pathways into university.  Bookings can be made via the link: https://www.sienacareers.com.au/?page=appointment-booking
