SRC Week

Last week, the Student Representative Council (SRC) held our annual SRC week to raise money for the St Vinnies Winter Appeal, which was our fundraising focus of the term. Throughout the week, various activities were held. On Monday, the Cassia house bake sale provided sweet treats made by Cassia students.  On Tuesday, there was the Year 12 Students vs Teachers Dodgeball Tournament which served as great stress relief for both the students and the teachers! On Wednesday, Environment Action Day, a whole school Kahoot on the environment, general knowledge and Siena history was held in the auditorium to raise awareness about what is truly happening to the environment. On Thursday, the Glow Stick Disco was held with much singing and dancing in the packed out hall! Finally, on Friday, we had the annual Lip Sync Battle. This year, the winners were Sophie Griffin and Eliza Powell who took out first place with a fantastic rendition of ‘You’re the One that I Want’ from Grease. Ms Levett also got an honourable mention for exceptional commitment to character with her performance of ‘It’s My Life’ by Bon Jovi. Congratulations to all the winners for the week!

In total, $1,185 was raised for Vinnies, which is an amazing effort by all the students, teachers and leaders who organised the events. We would like to thank everyone who participated and donated generously and cannot wait to have more SRC lead events this year!
