We had our House Athletics Carnival on Friday, 20 September at Bill Sewart Athletics Track. Congratulations go to Dianella who won the overall House award. We were excited to introduce a new fun novelty event this year which included three-legged races and potato sack races. It was a fantastic day with approximately 550 students signing up to at least one event. Thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure the students had this fantastic opportunity.

I am excited to announce that Nardelli Coaching will be running a Resistance Training session in the Siena College Weights Room on Tuesday lunchtimes. In addition, our Siena Fit Club sessions on Thursday mornings will also be operated by Nardelli Coaching. All students from Years 7-12 are welcome to attend and no previous experience or ability necessary.

Rob Nardelli is an experienced strength and conditioning coach having worked with adolescents for most of his career. Many of our students currently work with his team within their external netball programs and we look forward to offering this opportunity to Siena College students. The sessions will commence in Term 4, Week 2B.

I wish to extend my congratulations to Victoria Zikas (Year 10), Trinity Williams (Year 9) and Laura Griss (Year 11) who represented Siena in the GSV state Soccer team which finished third at the 2019 Interstate Challenge tournament. To have three students representing Girls Sport Victoria from Siena College out of all twenty-four schools is an excellent achievement and the girls have an exciting future in the sport.

A reminder that the Celebration of Sport Evening will be held on Thursday, 5 December at Camberwell Grammar School. At this stage we are expecting the evening to commence at 6.30pm but will confirm this as soon as possible. Parents of students collecting awards will emailed an invitation to attend.
