“Ah, kindness. What a simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in the world.” Alison Malee
This week’s Wellness Session for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 focused on the St Mary’s House of Welcome story and the role that Siena has played and continues to play in this story. Students reflected on the ways in which their donations of food and toiletries can work to preserve the dignity of fellow Melburnians and represent kindness and compassion to those who are experiencing hardship, especially throughout the Christmas season. Our students were invited to write a personalised message to accompany their donations. Despite many of our Siena families facing hardships of their own throughout the course of 2020, the generosity and thoughtfulness of our families and the way in which you have responded to our request for donations has once again reflected the Siena Spirit. For this, I am truly thankful.
