The final Siena Career News for 2020 lists important dates for Year 12 students along with information on a Change of Preference Expo in December when results are released. Year 12s have been sent information from all tertiary institutions on the dates and times of their Change of Preference activities and I will be available at school on 30 December for Year 12s and their parents to book appointments if required.

Year 12s are encouraged to consider a TAFE course on their preference list especially with many of the popular courses now being part of the free TAFE program. There are links to the list of free TAFE courses in this week’s Siena Career News. The Diploma of Nursing, Advanced Diploma of Accounting and the Diploma of Justice, just to name a few.

I have added a few more useful Careers Websites to the Career News as well as some interesting articles from “Footnotes” where students can follow a day in the life of someone in a career they are interested in.

If you are interested in a career in fashion, there are many ways to enter the field depending on if you want to design or market fashion to the public. In this last edition for the year, a variety of fashion courses at TAFE and University are also featured.

Best Wishes for Christmas and a safe and happy holiday.
