Learning Diversity Officer (Numeracy) Part time (0.6), fixed term contract

Siena College invites applications for this non-teaching position with an immediate start through to December 2021.

The salary classification for this position is Education Support Officer Category B as per the conditions of the 2018 VCEMEA.

As a valued member of our Learning Diversity Team, you will provide individual and group learning support to our students with additional learning needs. Supporting girls predominantly from Years 7 - 10, you will have a strong background in numeracy intervention and extension and ideally hold a qualification or relevant experience in educational support. Your nurturing disposition and ability to apply appropriate learning methodologies which meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of our students will be paramount in in encouraging them to meet their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to individual students or groups of students with specific numeracy learning needs on a withdrawal basis or via in class support
  • Keep detailed records of each support session with the student/groups
  • Supervise the student/groups working in the Learning Diversity Department or in a designated Support Team area
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Learning Diversity Team to develop resources and materials to support student learning and to deliver targeted programs for students with learning needs including those who require extension
  • Maintain confidentiality in relation to all student and family information
  • Support the student/groups in relation to social interaction with their peers and develop/implement programs to improve resilience, communication skills and everyday life skills
  • Work with classroom teachers and the Learning Diversity Team to develop, implement and evaluate individualised/alternate/adjusted programs and reports
  • Develop learning and teaching strategies in conjunction with the classroom teacher
  • Conduct diagnostic testing in relation to students’ abilities and use the data from these tests to create individual learning plans specific to the student’s needs
  • Be responsible for aspects of the Enrichment Programs such as the creation/sourcing of resources, the implementation of sessions and accompanying students to off campus activities

Siena College invites applications for the following non-teaching position with an immediate start for a full time ongoing position.

Music Officer: Administration and Programs

The salary classification for this position is Education Support Officer Category B, Level 3, as per the conditions of the 2018 VCEMEA.

Reporting to the Director of Music, the Music Administration and Programs Officer provides high level administration support to enable the efficient operation of the music department at Siena College. A highly organised and efficient individual, you can work across competing priorities whilst maintaining professionalism. With your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you are capable of overseeing the Instrumental Music Program from the enrolment stage through to the ongoing coordination of the program. You will have the opportunity to support an outstanding music program, working with our talented music staff and students to deliver the seamless administration of music programs including musical productions, concerts, ensembles, and camps. Experience using the music program ‘Music Monitor’ will be highly regarded.
