Counselling | Siena College

During adolescence young people experience many challenges, but sometimes these challenges can cause concern. Counselling at Siena College is available to all students and aims to address concerns in a confidential and respectful way. This, in turn, allows students to take maximum advantage of their learning opportunities.

Parents, friends and teachers are all important in the emotional wellbeing of the young person, so strengthening these support networks is an important part of the counselling process.

The Counsellors help students with a wide range of difficulties and problems. These can include:

  • Difficulties with families
  • Difficulties with friendships
  • Worries that don’t allow students to sleep at night
  • Feeling anxious, scared or sad

All information gathered by Siena College Counsellors remains confidential. However, there are rare times when information has to be disclosed.
