During adolescence, young people experience many challenges and sometimes these challenges can be a cause for concern. Counselling at Siena College is available to all students to help address concerns in a confidential and respectful way. As such, this allows students to take maximum advantage of their learning opportunities.
Parents, friends and teachers are all important in the emotional wellbeing of a young person, so strengthening these support networks is an important part of the counselling process.
The Counsellors help students through a wide range of difficulties and problems in order to support their overall
wellbeing. These can include:
Family relationships
Difficulties with friendships or forming friendships
Insomnia due to excessive worrying
Feeling scared, anxious or sad
All information gathered by Siena College Counsellors remains confidential. However, information has to be disclosed at times.
