"On Friday, we visited Siena and spent the morning exploring with a tour guide, visiting the Siena Cathedral (Duomo), Saint Catherine’s House, the Basilica Caterina di San Domenico, Piazza del Campo (Tower) and Fonte Branda."

"We then enjoyed a delicious two-course lunch at a small farm restaurant, All’Orto de’ Pecci."

"In the afternoon, we had a few hours of free time to go shopping and wander the beautiful streets of Siena before coming together for Mass in the small chapel at Saint Catherine’s House to conclude our day."

"We were warmly welcomed by husband-and-wife team, Massimo and Cecilia from Osteria La Gramola, who guided us through the steps of making eight different pasta shapes. We enjoyed the hands-on process of mixing, kneading and rolling out our dough using the pasta machine, before learning how to create a variety of shapes including ravioli, half-moons and bow ties."

"Afterwards, Massimo and Cecilia cooked each pasta and paired it with a delicious sauce – every dish was incredible. The cooking class in Tavarnelle offered us a wonderful insight into the traditional art of pasta making and the joy of tasting each creation with authentic Tuscan sauces. It was a truly memorable experience, and we can’t wait to take our new skills home to share with family and friends."

"On Wednesday, 8 October, we spent our final day at the school in Tavarnelle. The students celebrated with a closing assembly, where they presented a series of videos showcasing their time together. They said their goodbyes and exchanged gifts after a wonderful few days. Our gift to the school was a beautiful sketch of the Siena Convent, drawn by Juliette."
