"We were excited to see the famous bell tower in Pisa!”

“The last two days have been a real highlight as we concluded our time in Assisi and spent time with the Tavarnelle community. Last night, we hosted our guests for dinner, practising our Italian and forming special connections."

"This morning, we attended Mass at the Monastery which was well attended, and we concluded by singing the Hymn to St Catherine. As a gesture of gratitude for the Tavarnelle community’s generous support, we presented a tablecloth and canvas created by Charlotte, Caitlin and Juliette.”

"Tuesday, 14 October was our final full day in Italy which was treat for our senses. We enjoyed the tastes of Bologna, including sampling 8, 12 and 25-year-old balsamic vinegars. We learnt the secret recipes for some of Bologna’s world-famous meals, and enjoyed visiting specialty pastry and chocolate shops along the way. Our food tour concluded with gelato (naturally) and two flavours (of course!)."

"Later that night, we celebrated our final Mass together at the Basilica San Domenico and prayed at the tomb of St Dominic. We shared our final dinner together and collectively acknowledged the birthdays that have taken place during our time away. Spirits were high as we reflected on the time we have shared together and the experiences we have had. Home to pack our oversized luggage and prepare for the journey home! Ciao!"
