Last Friday, the 2026 student leaders came together for the Student Leadership Forum – a day of big ideas, bold goals and inspiring conversations! They reviewed their roles, shared their vision for the year ahead and began shaping what promises to be an extraordinary 2026.

Thank you to all students who took part in the rigorous selection process throughout Term 3 and early Term 4. We cannot wait to see what lies ahead – from the much-anticipated annual Fiesta to fundraising activities and House Carnivals, there is so much to look forward to!

"I found the day really helpful and insightful as I have not been in a leadership position before. I learnt lots about Cassia's fundraising partner, BASP and I also found out information about the role that I did not know before. In 2026, I am most excited to work with all of the other Cassia Captains and expand my leadership attributes... Hopefully leading Cassia to another HOTY win!"

Cassia House Captain, Kiara S

"The 2026 Leadership Forum was an amazing and exciting opportunity to be able to introduce myself and meet members of the SRC. It was a very easy-going environment for new members such as myself to blend into, I especially enjoyed being able to experience the chaotic and bubbly energy within the meetings. I hope I will be able to mentor younger students, and be a point of inspiration for them and the wider Siena community."

Community Engagement Leader, Maleesha W

"2026 will be my first time in a leadership position. I am already immensely excited! From the staff messages to the information about the organisations we support, I was engaged from the very beginning. Once we broke off into groups, this excitement multiplied.

I do admit I was a bit nervous speaking to older students I did not know, but everyone was so welcoming that my nerves quickly faded. My favourite part of the day was the talk on Fiesta. Kurrajong has some amazing ideas, and now I cannot wait for the 2026 Fiesta! It is what I am most excited for."

"The 2026 Student Leadership Day was definitely one to be remembered – the opportunity to connect with people who are full of enthusiasm, creativity and just the right amount of competitive spirit was phenomenal. Things heated up pretty fast as the brainstorming for next year’s Fiesta began (where 'friendly rivalry' is a concept that needs a referee). Between laughs and huge ideas, we also got started mapping out some initiatives for our 2026 charities – because true teamwork is really put to good use when trying to make a difference in the world around us."

2026 Year 10 Waratah Leader, Chloé H

"I really enjoyed the speeches and planning at the Leadership Forum on Friday, as it left me feeling inspired about what we can achieve over the next year. I’m excited to work with Amelia and Ruby in the 2026 Veritas Team to create new initiatives and support existing ones. We hope to raise awareness of injustices and encourage everyone to get involved, both within Siena and in the wider community."

Social Justice Leader, Sofia L

"I thoroughly enjoyed the day, collaborating with my team, discussing and planning our upcoming events for 2026, and meeting the new SRC team. I am very excited to work not only with an amazing Arts team but with the SRC as a whole, and I look forward to seeing all the exciting things 2026 will bring for the SRC."

Music Leader, Claudette L

"Overall, I really enjoyed the day! My favourite part was planning Fiesta, as it was so much fun coming up with ideas for the costumes and songs. I was also very happy to meet all the girls in Cassia, who were inclusive, kind, and welcoming. I think the day was a great opportunity to get a taste of what it will be like to be a leader and to connect with everyone."

2026 Year 8 Cassia Student Voice Leader, Zoe C

"I am most excited about being part of planning fundraisers and seeing our team’s ideas come to life, rather than just participating in the events. I am also looking forward to welcoming the new Year 7s to the school and helping them feel included, just as the Year 8s did for my year level this year."
