Year 11 and Year 12 Economics students were privileged to hear from economists, Emma Chow and Jack Harden of the Reserve Bank of Australia. Jack presented an overview of Australia’s current economic conditions, providing students with the opportunity to engage in discussion regarding the formulation of monetary policy. Through this session, students developed an in-depth understanding of the role of the cash rate and its influence across all sectors of the economy.
Emma then shared insights into her successful career as a young female economist, highlighting the diverse range of career pathways available to students considering further study in Economics or related fields.
