We are proud to celebrate the stunning artwork created by Year 12 student Aiko T, which accompanies the 2026 College Theme, Courage to Speak and Compassion to Serve. The work was showcased at our recent VCE Acknowledgement Assembly, recognising Aiko’s creativity and dedication to this meaningful piece, created over the summer holidays.

Inspired by the life and virtues of St Catherine of Siena, Aiko’s artwork offers a thoughtful interpretation of faith lived through action. Drawing on St Catherine’s courage in speaking out against injustice and her compassion in serving the sick, poor and vulnerable, the piece invites us to live with strength, kindness and purpose.

Through the use of colour, warm tones such as red, orange and yellow symbolise courage and bravery, while softer shades of pink and blue reflect compassion, love and care. Together, these colours form a pathway through life, reminding us that even in moments of uncertainty, hope continues to guide our way.
