Congratulations to Year 9 student, Eleanor J on her acceptance into the 2026 Shrine of Remembrance Young Ambassador Program. With applications received from across Victoria, this opportunity is a truly special and well-earned achievement for Eleanor.
Following a rigorous application process that explored her leadership and the personal significance of the Shrine, Eleanor’s submission was inspired by generations of her family’s commitment to service and remembrance, particularly her grandfather who served in Vietnam and has volunteered at the Shrine for decades.
As part of this year-long youth leadership program, Eleanor will travel to Canberra where she will actively support the Shrine’s mission to build greater awareness and understanding of the importance of commemoration.
