Congratulations to the Siena Senior Ethics Olympiad team comprising Year 10 students Evelyn F, Chloé H, Shehrbano J, Loshaya J and Claire R, who achieved an impressive tenth place and received an Honourable Mention at the 2026 Senior Ethics Olympiad!
Competing against twenty-one other schools from across Victoria in a full-day online event, the team was recognised by judges for their strong understanding of ethical frameworks, collaborative approach and thoughtful responses to complex ethical questions. Topics explored included the morality of strikebreaking and whether it is ever ethically permissible to engage with true crime as entertainment.
Having previously competed three times in the Middle Ethics Olympiad, Claire and Loshaya led the team throughout weekly training sessions during Semester 1 with great expertise and leadership.
