The Year 9 Humanities class has been exploring the concept of Global Responsibility, examining what it means to be a global citizen and the value of 'thinking locally and acting globally'. As part of this unit, students participated in a United Nations Gender Equality Debate where they represented various countries, researched current gender equality data, formed alliances and engaged in structured debate. The experience offered a valuable opportunity to deliver opening speeches, take part in both moderated and unmoderated discussions, and develop important skills in diplomacy, critical thinking and collaboration.
